Rosenbauer Brandschutz − A future vision with potential

Globalization, the increasing interconnectedness of value chains, digitalization – all these are influences that have massively increased the pressure on the efficiency of the manufacturing sector, especially in recent decades. Nowadays, increasing performance plays just as decisive a role as guaranteeing qualitative requirements.

In-house logistics represents the interface between value creation and value generation. It is both an obligatory cost unit and a potential starting point for the all-important competitive advantage. Optimized alignment of these is therefore of interest not only to mass production industries. Specialized companies are also becoming increasingly aware of the need to optimize their internal logistics processes.

Rosenbauer Brandschutz expands production site with new production hall

LOGSOL GmbH supported a company that has already been able to prove itself to its customers with distinctive strengths such as reliability, customer orientation and innovative spirit. Rosenbauer Brandschutz has become the leading manufacturer of firefighting equipment on the international market. For over 150 years, it has been developing vehicles, equipment and firefighting technology with the aim of creating the best conditions for its customers when an emergency occurs.

Rosenbauer Brandschutz now wants to take another step towards the future and ensure optimized internal logistics processes in addition to excellent quality. By merging the logistics and production halls of a subsidiary, customer requirements are to be served faster and more reliably. Rosenbauer Brandschutz, based in Mogendorf (Rhineland-Palatinate), specializes in the production and installation of preventive fire protection technology and processes sprinkler pipes several meters in length. With these goals and requirements in mind, a logistics concept was developed for the Mogendorf site. The project went through a number of different planning and implementation stages to ultimately create the best conditions for the ideal future development of Rosenbauer Brandschutz.

LOGSOL Steps: From logistics planning to realization

At the beginning of every LOGSOL project, the existing processes, material flows and layout conditions are recorded and reflected upon. With the help of the information gained from this, it was possible to set up the logistical quantity structure and thus create the basis for the subsequent conceptual design. The analysis of the existing land use, but also of the complete material flow were essential in this project step. However, internal company growth potential is also of great importance for Rosenbauer Brandschutz. Only the combination of both results allows a meaningful conclusion to be drawn about the future requirements for the new production hall.

After all framework conditions had been analyzed and evaluated according to the required premises, LOGSOL set about creating the optimum layout and material flow concept for Rosenbauer Brandschutz in both a rough and detailed design. After the successful completion of the conceptual design, LOGSOL provided support in the preparation and tendering of specifications, the coordination of the relocation, as well as the entire implementation and realization of the new logistics space. Together with the supplier and Rosenbauer Brandschutz, the closely coordinated schedule was realized within 2 weeks.

With the newly created site, LOGSOL too is certain that Rosenbauer Brandschutz, with its high quality standards and innovative spirit, can look forward to a high-performance future.
