LOGSOL achieves “iPAready Specialist” status: Another milestone in integrated project management (IPA)

We are proud to present the coveted “iPAready Specialist” award! This success is the result of an intensive two-day certification for integrated project management (IPA). We would like to thank Dr. Franziska Kluttig, Prof. Dr. Heiko Fuchs, Dr.-Ing. René Huppertz and Rudolf Knauer for guiding our employees through this demanding process.

What is IPA and why is it important?

IPA stands for Integrated Project Execution and describes a process for the cooperative and collaborative execution of building construction and civil engineering projects. The use of IPA in major projects, such as Deutsche Bahn’s “Neues Werk Cottbus”, places new demands on all project participants.

Since our partnership in this important project, we have been able to gain valuable experience in the field of IPA and successfully apply the knowledge we have acquired to other projects. We strive to continuously deepen our knowledge and to surpass it in future projects.

Focus on certification

The “iPAready Specialist” certification covers the main criteria such as mindset, behavior, culture and structure. In addition, sub-criteria such as project understanding, team and cooperation understanding, values, relationships, organizational structure, work processes and methods are also scrutinized.

Certification involves a test, a one-day on-site audit and a results and feedback meeting lasting several hours. This comprehensive process results in a detailed production of results with recommendations for action and the IPA certificate.

The key roles in the certification process

An essential component of the certification is the representation of four key roles in the company by one person each:

• Strategic position, e.g. management
• Operational planning/project management
• Role from cross-sectional/support area

At LOGSOL, these roles were assumed by our CEO Uwe Wenzel, our Senior Logistics and Factory Planner Mario Henneberger, our Head of Logistics and Factory Planning Martin Schöne and our Logistics and Factory Planner Jean-Pascal Heinze.
